PURPOSE:To replace exactly a developing device having a color toner corresponding to a color separated latent image formed on a latent image carrying body, to a prescribed position by setting a relative position relation of each developing device to an order of a color separation exposure, and moving a developing device having a color toner corresponding to the first exposure, to a prescribed position, and awaiting it. CONSTITUTION:Each developing device has an interference member R interfering with a supporting body 4a, and when it is inserted into an inserting part which is not a position to be inserted, it cannot be inserted, or becomes an incompletely inserted state. By a wrong insertion preventing means, a position relation in which each developing device is inserted corresponds to an order of color separation exposure. In case when a yellow toner use developing device 4Y has come to a developing position, a regular copying sequence is started. In case when the developing device 4Y has not come, a CPU11 works on a program memory 14, drives a motor M through a driving circuit MD, rotates further a developing position 4, and when the developing device 4Y reaches a prescribed developing position, the regular copying sequence is started. |
