PURPOSE:To provide a safety against a fire and to improve flaw detectability using an aq. soln. incorporated therein with 7-70%, by weight, water soluble phosphate and 0.2-3% dye to for a liquid penetrant. CONSTITUTION:The water soluble phosphate is incorporated at 7-70% by weight into a solvent used for the liquid penetrant for penetrant flaw inspection and the dye is incorporated therein at 0.2-3%. The solubility and colorability of the dye are improved and the penetrating characteristic is improved. The defect detecting power is increased as well. Since the generation of combustible vapor is obviated, the safety to the fire is improved. |
