The mouth douche possesses a lid (2) serving as a water container and having a bottom valve (3). The closure member (4) of the bottom valve (3) has at least two resilient feet (10) which are pretensioned outwards and which rest against a conical surface (9), which diverges with increasing distance from the valve seat (6), on the outer side of the valve seat. A ram (11) forming part of the housing (1) of the mouth douche is used for contacting the bottom valve (3) when the lid (2) is put on. <IMAGE>
