The anginal medicated compound according to the present invention comprises the active principle 2,4,6,8-tetramethyl-2,4,6,8-tetraazobicyclo-/3,3,0/-octanedione-3,7 of the formula: <IMAGE> in combination with a pharmaceutical carrier. The medicated compound according to the present invention is useful for the treatment of patients suffering from ischemic heart disease.
