This invention relates to a device for a liquid chromatography system whereby one or more pre-columns and one or more separation columns can be readily coupled together. The device comprises a pair of disks in a sealing relationship which can be rotated relative to each other. The pre-columns are connected to one disk, and the separation columns to the other. This device has the advantage of being able to withstand far higher pressures than the known devices and provides rapid and simple interconnection between the precolumns and the separating columns.
