PURPOSE:To provide a cosmetic giving moistness to the skin and hair, and having moist and refreshing feeling, by adding a crosslinked poly(acrylic acid-2,3- dihydroxypropyl and/or 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate) to a base cosmetic. CONSTITUTION:The objective cosmetic such as liquid cosmetic, emulsified cosmetic, solic cosmetic, detergent, etc. contains 0.01-10wt% crosslinked poly(acrylic acid-2,3-dihydroxypropyl acrylate) and/or crosslinked poly(acrylic acid-2- hydroxypropyl acrylate) prepared by the 2,3-dihydroxypropyl esterification or 2-hydroxypropyl esterification of the said chain carboxyl group of a crosslinked polyacrylic acid. The molar ratio of the acrylic acid unit to the 2,3-dihydroxypropyl acrylate or 2-hydroxypropyl acrylate unit in the above additive is preferably 99-50:1-50. |
