NEW MATERIAL:A compound of formula I [R1 is imidazolyl, pyrazolyl or triazolyl which may be mono-, di- tri-substituted with halogen, nitro or lower alkyl; R2 is formula III (x is halogen, lower alkyl; Y is lower alkyl, lower alkoxy), formula IV; R3 is phenyl or phenoxy which is substituted with halogen or lower alkyl in its o-position]. E X A M P L E:N-(4,6-dimethylpyrimidine-2-yl)-N'-(2-methoxycarbonyl-ab-enzenesulfo nyl)-1-imidazolecarboxy amidine. USE:Herbicide: when it is applied to soil surfaces on preemergence of to foliage of weeds in their growing period on postemergence, it develops the herbicidal activity with very low doses. PREPARATION:The reaction between a compound of formula II and a compound of the formula: R1H is carried out in accordance with the reaction equation to give the compound of formula I. |
