PURPOSE:To attain a data input/output control system having higher data processing performance by performing the input/output of the process input/ output data at all times and periodically between a data input/output controller and a main memory and therefore using a program exclusively for the data processing purpose. CONSTITUTION:When a central processor I executes a 'start IO' instruction, a data input/output controller 4 decodes a channel control word 10 and fetches all input/output control information if a command is equal to a 'CONFIGURE' command pattern to form a process data input/output system in the controller 4. Then an indication 'data input' is given with the 'CONFIGURE' command when a 'CONNECT' command is delivered. In such a case, an end interruption is sent back when the input is through with all process data. When a 'data output' is indicated, an end interruption is immediately sent back after the 'CONNECT' command is decoded. Then the controller 4 executes periodically the 'data input' or 'data output'. |
