PURPOSE:To insert a sufficiently large resistor by forming the electrode supporter of an electron gun to have a staircase in sectional shape having a thin portion and a thick portion, which is perpendicular to an advancing direction of an electron beam, and positioning a resistor in the thin portion. CONSTITUTION:The electron gun of a cathode ray tube etc. is composed of an electron beam generating portion, a main lens portion consisting of a plurality of electrodes for focusing an electron beam on a given target and a plurality of electrode supporters for supporting them. At this time, one 2b of the electrode supporters 2a and 2b into which the straps 31 and 32 of the electrodes are embedded is formed to have a staircase in sectional shape having a thin portion and a thick portion, which is perpendicular to an advancing direction of the electron beam, and a thin plate-like resistor 3 is mounted on the thin portion to supply the divided voltage of the resistor to the electrodes. Accordingly, it is possible to sufficiently increase the surface area of the resistor 3 to prevent the breakage due to heat and to improve the reliability. |
