Agents generating semi-rigid foam are injected into an opening mould 25 containing an edged timber beam 26 so as to obtain a negative duplicate 27 of the external faces of this beam 26, this duplicate 27 is then used inside conventional form work in order to cast a reinforced concrete beam, the faces of which will reproduce those of the initial timber beam 26. <IMAGE>
