The subject of the invention is a movable beam for a forestry tractor, of the type comprising rollers 7 to 9 mounted so as to idle on a suitable support structure carried by the tractor, which rollers are arranged in such a way as to guide one or more haulage cables C1, C2 manoeuvred from one or more hoists T also carried by the tractor, characterised in that the said support structure is a framework 4 mounted movably about a horizontal shaft 5 situated at the lower part of the said framework, parallel to the axis of the said hoist T, and adjustable in position via one or more hydraulic or pneumatic jacks 10 interposed between the said framework 4 and the structure 1 carrying the said articulation shaft 5.
