The subject of the invention is a simplified device for rapidly packing fruit in boat-shaped receptacles. It is constituted by the combination of a delivery belt conveyor 1 which conveys the boat-shaped receptacle on a movable plate 3 which deposits it onto the treatment surface after having drawn over the synthetic film, and of a welding arm 16 which, in a single operation, assembles the three open faces of the film, cuts it and connects it to the unreelable covering web. It is intended for encasing boat-shaped receptacles under food- grade shrink film so as to enable them to be transported, displayed on sale and distributed to purchasers without unwrapping before consuming them. <IMAGE>
