发明名称 FATIGUE CHARACTERISTIC EVALUATING METHOD OF ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE BODY
摘要 PURPOSE:To evaluate the fatigue characteristic of a photosensitive body in a short time with high precision by a simple testing machine, by obtaining preliminarily relations between a specific factor, which is much correlated to the variance of the surface potential due to darkdecay of the electrophotographic sensitive body, and the electrification potential for repeated use. CONSTITUTION:An electrifier 12 and a surface potentiometer 13 90 deg. distant from the electrifier 12 are provided around a photosensitive body 11 which has a photosensitive layer where an electric charge transporting layer and an electric charge generating layer are laminated on a base body and is provided with a top coat layer if it is required, and the photosensitive body 11 is rotated in the direction of an arrow 14 and is electrified, and the rotation is stopped, and a potential variance Vs due to dark decay is observed during about 12 seconds to obtain a relational equation (gamma1<gamma2) between a short-time factor gamma1 corresponding to a shallow trap level and a long-time factor gamma2 corresponding to a deep trap level. Meanwhile, the reduction of the electrification potential due to the repeated use of the same kind of photosensitive body is measured actually to generate preliminarily the relational graph between the factor gamma2 and the electrification potential. Thus, the factor gamma2 is measured easily i a short time to evaluate the fatigue characteristic of the photosensitive body.
