PURPOSE:To obtain a photothermic write card where information can be rewritten many times over, by providing a frame body, in which electrodes are provided apart from each other, on a thin flat carrier consisting of insulating materials and sticking microcapsules, in which a liquid crystal capable of photothermic write is sealed, between electrodes by a conductive binder. CONSTITUTION:A display part 3 capable of information rewrite and a magnetic stripe 4 are provided on the surface of a thin flat carrier 2 consisting of insulating materials such as plastics or the like. The display pat 3 is provided with an information storage layer 6 where microcapsules 8 in which a liquid crystal 10 is sealed are dispersed in a conductive binder 9 between electrodes 5 and 5 which are provided apart from each other and consist of conductive materials, and the layer 6 is protected by a cover 7. A liquid crystal which is obtained by mixing a nematic liquid crystal having a negative dielectric anisotropy and a cholestric liquid crystal and has the memory property of photothermic phase conversion is used as the liquid crystal 10. Thus, the rewritable card is obtained where balance is stored each time when a means of traffic or the like is used. |
