PURPOSE:To perform gear shifting accurately, by putting a claw clutch back to a neutral state temporarily at a time when engagement of the claw clutch has not completed within the specified time, while engaging an automatic clutch for the specified time long, and afterward releasing the automatic clutch again. CONSTITUTION:There is provided with a clutch displacement value sensor 505 which detects a displacement value of a clutch 130 with that of a piston 31 of a release cylinder 3, while output out of this sensor 505 is inputted into an electronic control unit 6, and when engagement of a claw clutch has not completed within the specified time, this claw clutch is temporarily put back to a neutral state, and an automatic clutch is engaged instead for the specified time long, then the automatic clutch is released again, thus the claw clutch is operated. With this constitution, gear shifting to backward steps or to forward first is performable with certainty without imposing any overload on gears and a shaft actuator. |
