PURPOSE:To aim at improvements in fuel-saving promotion and durability, by installing a clutch surface operated by a permanent magnet in position between a ring gear and a sun gear, and also installing a brake mechanism of the ring gear operated by a solenoid. CONSTITUTION:A sun gear 109 is secured to an input shaft 101, while a pulley body type planet carrier 105 is rotatably attached to the input shaft 101. In addition, a ring gear 111 is slidable attached to an axial direction of the input shaft 101, and a clutch surface operated by a permanent magnet 108 is installed in position between the ring gear 111 and the sun gear 109. Furthermore, a brake mechanism of the ring gear operated by a solenoid 114 secured to an engine body is installed addition. With this constitution, problems on a worsening of fuel consumption due to what the solenoid is energized with current, coil heating, etc., at a service rotation range is solved, thus economization in fuel consumption and durability are improved. |
