PURPOSE:To obtain a slub yarn having variously varying thickness and length in one step, by passing a plural staple fiber bundles through independently operated intermittently gripping apparatuses and a gap between a roller pair having low nip pressure, supplying to the back roller of a fine spinning frame, and doubling and twisting the bundles. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of staple fiber bundles are passed through indepen dently operated intermittently gripping apparatuses 6, 6 and the roller pair 4, 4 having low nip pressure, and supplied to the back roller of a fine spinning frame, in which the bundles are doubled and twisted.
