A self-aligning piston pump (1) (Fig. 1) has a sealing sleeve (10) with a retaining section (11) held by the piston part, and a lip section (12) sealing against the cylinder wall (13). In this arrangement, the outer contour (20) of the lip section (12) essentially has the form of a belt-shaped spherical-shell section (21). This results, accordingly, in an annularly closed sealing band between the lip section (12) and the cylinder wall (13) even for longer strokes and correspondingly larger pivoting angles of the self- aligning piston. <IMAGE>
