Heat engine characterised in that, with the aid of air heat, terrestial heat, solar heat, exhaust heat or another heat source, liquid gas, e.g. Freon, is evaporated in a heat-exchanger system (1), is then expanded, producing power for a motor (2), is subsequently condensed in a second heat-exchanger system (3) and is finally pumped by a liquid pump (4) back into the first heat exchanger (1) so that the cycle can be repeated. By controlled, alternating operation of the heat-exchanger systems (1 and 3), a constant volume flow is passed via the motor (2) and the liquid pump (4) can thus be dispensed with. <IMAGE>
