An electrical coupling, consisting of a plug part and a plug-holder part, is proposed, in the case of which the two coupling parts can be joined together in a skew-free manner with an approximately linearly increasing, uniformly distributed increase in force, in that the plug-contact elements, which are located with their plug connecting ends in different planes, are in their totality arranged symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis of the coupling, and, in the event of the two coupling parts not being completely joined together, independent separation of the plug-contact elements which interact with one another takes place in that means are provided which are linked to a predetermined threshold-value setting and possibly, at the same time, produce latching.
