A medium-voltage switching panel, which is coupled to a busbar system (SS) and has a power circuit breaker (LS) from which a line system leads to a distribution network (VN) has, in the region of this line system, an interruptor point (A/AVN) which is accessible and can repeatedly be detached, or a non-separable contact point (K). In order to earth the busbar system via an interruptor switch (Tr) and the power circuit breaker (LS), the interruption point (A), which is always conductively connected to the power circuit breaker, or the said contact point (K) can be connected to an earthing point (AEE/EE) in a contact-making manner. The earthing process for the busbar system in this case takes place in a plurality of switching-process steps. <IMAGE>
