In a device for the merry entertainment of a plurality of people, which consists of a box-shaped structure, a rocker with two receiving surfaces is provided, on which a container filled with beverages is provided on one side and a weight as a counter balance is placed or laid on the other side. Under the surface provided with the drinking vessel is a sound source, e.g. a laughter-bag, connected to a rotating spindle and to a drive mechanism, and functioning whenever a bolt which is vertically rotatable with the spindle touches a switch. The movement of the spindle is obtained via a ratchet drive as soon as the raised jug is replaced on the surface.
