PURPOSE:To enable a three-dimensional pattern to be provided freely at an arbitrary place, by a method wherein a pattern in printed in a printing ink on the surface of a plastic cap, the ink is dried, and then a metal such as titanium and aluminum in vacuum-deposited on the entire surface of the cap. CONSTITUTION:A protuberant surface of an ink film in a fixed thickness is provided by screen printing or the like on a surface of an object to be provided with a design pattern, and a metal or metals are vapor-deposited on the entire surface of the object. By this, an arbitrary pattern in the form of three- dimensional vacuum-deposited film can be easily provided on an arbitrary printable part, without need for previously engraving a metallic mold for a plastic or preparing a projected and recessed pattern. In addition, since the metal used in vacuum deposition and the ink used in printing produce variations in luster through refraction of light due to the color tones thereof, it is possible to express gradations and complicated patterns such as a rainbow pattern. |
