The invention relates to an areometer body which is immersed in the liquid to be measured and whose buoyancy movement, which arises according to density, acts on a magnetic body disposed outside the liquid volume by means of a permanent magnet which is fastened to the areometer spindle and thus controls a measuring system or display system. In this arrangement, the areometer bodies are designed in such a way that they enable measuring in the flow of a flowing system. The device can therefore be used to monitor and control chemical industrial processes and events.
