<p>A front piece for safety ski bindings having a sole holder which is centrally located (34, 48), or with each one right and each one left sole holder (10, 11). Said sole holders (10, 11) being adapted to be pivoted sideways against the force of a spring (9). The sole holder is serving to support the ski boot sole sideways and towards the front. The front piece further comprises a pedal (26) for actuating a control means (21, 24), so as to maintain the release resistance at least approximately constant, i.e. independently of the variable pressure applied to the pedal (26). The force of the spring (9) either acts directly or via a lever linkage (27, 28, 29) on the sole holder (10, 11) or a sole holder support member (8, 9) in a distance with respect to the pivot axis (13) of said sole holder. So as to allow a low-cost production of such front pieces, and of front pieces that do not cause any trouble, the invention suggests to provide for an adjustment of the arm of the momentum which is derived from the force of the spring (9), said adjustment being carried out by means of a control means (21, 24) such that the arm of the momentum is decreased with an increasing pressure onto the pedal (26).</p> |
