Method and deivce for tapping beer, especially Weissbier, into drinking receptacles. The beer is drawn off from a tank which is under gas pressure and initially transferred into pretensioned intermediate container. The gas pressure in the intermediate container is then gradually lowered, after which the beer can be emptied out of the intermediate container into a drinking receptacle.
