The shade part at the top, substantially consisting of horizontally erectable cover spokes (5) and spreader spokes (6) with a cover acts, together by means of a vertically displaceable centre column (1), guided in the middle column (2), on a spring element which is to be formed from one or more springs (10 + 12). The function of the spring element is to counteract the dead weight of the shade parts of the top, that is to say the moveable parts of the shade, so that operation, the displaceability of the centre column (1) in the middle column (2), is possible from outside with very little exertion of force. The middle column (2) is locally and stably connected to the base plate (13), so that the centre column (1) is to be displaceably mounted via the spring element. The displacement of the centre column (1) is identical to operation; at the top it produces a closed position in the final position, and at the bottom it likewise produces a closed position; as is shown in Fig. 1. Thus only a central position, as illustrated in Fig. 2, is the actually useable spread position of the shade, in which the cover spokes (5) and spreader spokes (6) are horizontally aligned and the cover (8) is to be stretched smooth. <IMAGE>
