TORPEDO LADLE HAVING POWDER BLOWING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To improve the adjustment of a molten iron component and to reduce the time for treatment by installing powder blowing devices to the bottom of the body of a torpedo ladle and supplying a treating material for preliminary treatment of a molten iron by said devices. CONSTITUTION:The powder spraying devices 3 are provided respectively to the central part in the straight body part 4 and conical parts 5 at both ends of the torpedo ladle 1 and the treating material for preliminary treatment of the molten metal M is supplied together with a carrier gas into the molten iron M. Each device 3 is fitted into the through-hole 12 of a brick 10 and shell 11 and is constituted of a tuyere brick 14 drilled with plural powder blow holes 13 extending in the vertical direction therein and a powder supply pipe 15 connected to the bottom surface thereof. The molten metal M in the torpedo ladle 1 is thus thoroughly treated.
