PURPOSE:To restrain the generation of a lime wash in each heater, and to prevent the deterioration in yield of materials and to manufacture a steel plate high in magnetism by applying two-step heat rolling to a continuous casting slab for a single orientation electro magnetic steel plate under the specified condition. CONSTITUTION:At heating of a continuous casting slab of a single orientation electro magnetic steel before heat rolling, the surface of the slab is heated by a fuel combustion furnace at <=1,250 deg.C, especially at <=1,200 deg.C reduce an amount of the scale generated on the surface of slab. Thereafter, the slab is heated by a conductive heating furnace and a resistance heating furnace at the final heating temperature of 1,310-1,350 deg.C, especially at 1,320-1,345 deg.C in the non-oxidation gas such as N2 gas, Ar gas atmosphere and heat-rolled to the thickness of an intermediate plate. The single orientation electro magnetic steel plate less in generation of lime wash caused by the scale in the heat rolling and excellent in yield of slab is heat-rolled, and rolled by the conventional cold rolling to attain the final plate thickness. |
