PURPOSE:To enhance the productivity of a paper spool, to reduce the cost thereof, to enhance the strength, water- and moisture-resistance thereof, and as well to aim at providing a satisfactory external appearance thereto, by sealing the end opening part of the paper spool with a resin composition material and by enabling paper spools to be mechanically and continuously produced. CONSTITUTION:In the case of sealing the end opening of a paper spool with the use of a thermomelting type resin composition material, at fist the composition material is thermally melted and is once filled in a receiving pan corresponding to the shape of the end part of the spool, and one end of the spool is pressed onto the pan. After the thermomelting material being cooled and solidified, the end opening of the spool which is sealed with the thermomelting material is removed from the pan. Meanwhile, in the case of using plastic sol as a sealing agent, a predetermined amount of plastic sol is filled in the receiving pan as is in the case of the thermomelting material, and one end of the paper spool is pressed onto the pan. Then, the plastic sol is heated to a temperature of about 180-200 deg.C and is then solidified, and thereafter, the end opening part of the spool which is sealed with the plastic sol is removed from the pan. With this method, the process of sealing the end part of a paper spool is carried out in a relatively simple way, and therefore, the paper spool may be mechanically produced. |
