A tank (6) has an opening (10) in its central section (8). Tank sections (14, 16) situated on both sides of the opening (10) are constructed so as to taper towards the end walls (18). Upper hump screens (24, 26) are arranged inside the tank (6) on both sides of the opening (10) and extend up to the end walls (18). A lower hump screen (20) is arranged diametrically opposite. The hump screens (20, 24, 26) are connected to one another via connection channels (30, 32) and have outwardly pointing outlet nozzles (22, 28). Press cloths are arranged on both sides of the hump screens (20, 24, 26), rest against the tank walls as the tank is being filled and can be pressed against one another by means of compressed air for pressing to be carried out. <IMAGE>
