PURPOSE:To securely form printing data to be printed in a price line, by a method wherein price data are loaded into a buffer storage part sequentially from higher to lower order digit places, and the loaded data are shifted by one digit place toward lower order digit places while writing a special symbol at the evacuated highest order digit place, until the lowest order digit place is filled with the data. CONSTITUTION:A CPU6 is connected to each circuit by a bus line 7, to which is connected a keyboard 8 comprising full-keys 8a for inputting printing data such as price numerals and a controlling key 8b for such control as to sequentially shift the price numerals or the like toward lower order digit places and automatically write a mark '>' in the evacuated highest order digit place. A RAM9 as the buffer storage part for momentarily storing the printing data is connected to the bus line 7. Inputted price data are loaded into the buffer storage part sequentially from the higher to lower order digit places in the storage part, and the loaded price data are shifted by one digit place toward the lower order digit places while writing a symbol such as '>' in the evacuated highest order digit place, until the lowest order digit place is filled with the price data. |
