PURPOSE:To be free of any fluctuation in engine torque and quicken a transient response to a feedback control by compensating both the flow rate of air and flow rate of fuel which are to be supplied to an engine on the basis of a signal from an A/F sensor. CONSTITUTION:A computer 3 controls both an air controlling actuator 6 and a fuel controlling actuator 7 on the bases of the signals from an A/F sensor 5 and a sensor 2 which senses a stepping load on an accelerating pedal 1. A coefficient AJ is derived from the output signal S of the A/F sensor 5 and a compensatory coefficient alpha is also derived from a map 7. An air flow rate QA is then calculated and sequentially, fuel flow rate QF is determined. By such operation, control of air-fuel ratio free from any fluctuation in torque may be performed and the transient response to the feedback control of air-fuel ratio by quickened. |
