In a water-sports apparatus for the controlled onward movement of a swimming person by muscle power, a collapsible single-person onward movement means is proposed, according to the invention, which is driven by pedals and can be manually controlled by floats, and by means of which swimming patterns can be executed on the surface of the water and even under water. The apparatus is suitable for leisure sportsmen, swimmers or divers, and for professional divers.
