In the case of a sewage-conveying device which can be actuated by compressed air and has a backflow preventer in the inflow, said backflow preventer is arranged at the end of the inflow branch piece introduced into the collecting tank from one side. Above the end of said inflow branch piece and above the movably mounted closure element of the backflow preventer, a further, closable branch piece which opens into the collecting tank is provided. In this solution, provision of a complete backflow preventer is dispensed with. Instead, connecting elements necessary in any case, such as inflow and inspection branch pieces, are used as elements of the backflow preventer.
