PURPOSE:To nearly double the durability of a constant capacity pump, by alternately changing the direction of rotation of a rotor in conveying a liquid, to effectively use the unworn surface of a stator. CONSTITUTION:A constant capacity pump 1 comprises a stator 2 and a rotor 3 which have clockwise spiral forms. A motor 13 is rotated clockwise. After the pump 1 is used for a prescribed period of time, it is turned by 180 deg. and the motor 13 is placed in a lower position to reverse the rotor, namely, rotate it counterclockwise. As a result, a gap resulting from spiral wear caused on the surface of the stator 2 due to the former use of the pump is blocked by the rotor because the spiral wear is clockwise, so that a liquid does not flow through the gap. The set position of the constant capacity pump 1 and the direction of rotation of the rotor 2 are thus changed to produce the same effect as a new stator is provided for replacement. |
