There are described compounds of the general formula (III) <IMAGE> in which R is an amino group or protected amino group; R<2a> is a straight- or branched-chain alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, an allyl group, but-2-enyl group or but-3-enyl group or a group of the formula <IMAGE> in which R<3> and R<4> in each case are independently a hydrogen atom or a methyl group or an ethyl group or R<3> and R<4>, together with the carbon atom to which they are bonded, can be a cycloalkylidene group having 3 to 5 carbon atoms, and R<5> is a hydrogen atom or a carboxyl protective group; Y denotes a 1-methyl-1-pyrrolidinium group and R<7> represents a group -COO<-> or -COOR<6>, in which R<6> is a hydrogen atom or a carboxyl protective group, and salts thereof.
