Apparatus for guiding a fishing rod, having a sleeve which receives the butt of the rod and is mounted so as to be pivotable under the action of a tension spring system about a transverse spindle mounted on a base into a line-drawing-in position, at least one tensioning spring being mounted on the transverse spindle and engaging with one end onto a pivot arm supporting the sleeve, and an actuating device which engages onto the pivot arm in the tensioned position of the springs being arranged on the base, the fishing line being guided by means of the actuating levers of the actuating device, which are pivotable in the pulling direction of the fishing line.
