PURPOSE:To improve the sensitivity and durability of an electrophotographic sensitive body by providing a charge generating layer contg. the bisazo pigment expressed by the specific formula as a charge generating layer and charge transfer layer on a conductive base thereby forming said body. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating layer is provided on the conductive base by incorporating the bisazo pigment expressed by the formula (X denotes a hydrogen atom, halogen atom, lower alkyl group, methoxy group, nitro group, Y denotes an arom. ring or heterocycle which may have a substituent) therein as the charge generating material. The charge transfer layer into which the charge transfer material such as polyvinyl carbazole, phenanthrene or N-ethyl carbazole is incorporated is laminated thereon to form the photosensitive body for electrophotography. The charge generating layer is formed by dispersing the bisazo pigment into a binder resin and coating the dispersion thereof on the conductive base. |
