<p>PURPOSE:To input a character without deleting he fixed format part of a document by adding protect information which shows prohibition of input or release of it at each character area of a picture plane memory, checking it each time when a cursor is moved. CONSTITUTION:When a cursor is moved to a character area, protect information PI of said area is checked, and if it is 'on', the protect information PI of net area is checked. If it is not 'on', then move the cursor to the next character area, and if it is also 'on', further check the protect information of the next area. On a picture plane memory 12, display data (symbol code) such as brackets or comma is stored at each character area, and the protect information bit PI attached to each character area is obtained by 'ON', for example '1'. Such situation is obtained by writing a character/symbol code group with protect information which is shown as document data 14 onto the picture plane memory.</p> |
