PURPOSE:To obtain high photosensitivity up to a near IR region by disposing a charge generating layer contg. a specific metallic phthalocyanine deriv. on a conductive substrate and further a charge transfer layer thereon. CONSTITUTION:This photosensitive body is constituted by laminating the charge generating layer 2 coated with a metallic phthalocyanine (Pc) derive. having a long chain substituent at four benzene rings alone or dispersed in a binder on the conductive substrate 1 and further the charge transfer layer 3 thereon. The formula -ZmCnH2n+1 (Z is a bivalent bonding group such as ether bond, urethane bond, ester bond, urea bond or amide bond, m is 0, 1, n is >=4) is preferable as the long chain substituent. The metallic Pc having such long chain group has high solubility permits the use of a soln. coating method in the formation of the layer 2 and makes easy the production process. The photosensitive body for which such charge generating layer 2 is used has the high sensitivity up to the long wavelength region near 800nm. The photosensitive body is thus made usable for a semiconductor laser printer, high-speed facsimile, etc. |
