PROCESS FOR REMOVAL OF H.SUB.2S FROM GASEOUS STREAMS WITH AMINO COMPOUNDS

The removal of H2S gas from a normally gaseous stream is accomplished with an absorbent solution containing a solvent and a nitrogen heterocyclic tertiary aminoalkanol or aminoetheralkanol or a tertiary amino azabicyclic alcohol or ether alcohol. In a preferred embodiment, the gaseous stream also contains CO2, and the H2S is selectively removed from the stream. The most preferred alcohol herein is tropine.
