PURPOSE:To enable the linear feed of thermal recording paper and to make it possible to easily judge a printing result, by forming an inclined surface outwardly protruded at the center thereof to one lateral end part of an insulating substrate over the almost entire with thereof and forming heat generating resistor lines to the inclined surface. CONSTITUTION:When a power source and a signal are applied to a thermal head from the outside, a drive circuit 4 controls the supply of a current to heat generating resistor lines 13 corresponding to said signal to allow said heat generating resistor lines 13 to generate heat. At this time, thermal recording paper 9 is arranged in a flat state and the above mentioned heat generating resistor lines 13 are pressed to the thermal recording paper 9 to perform thermal recording. Because the heat generating resistor lines 13 are formed to the end part of an alumina substrate 11 as mentioned above, the linear feed of the thermal recording paper 9 is enabled and, as a result, printing can be performed in such a state that the thermal recording paper 9 is fixed on the flat surface and the heat generating resistor lines are moved as mentioned above. The part printed on the thermal recording paper can be looked immediately after printing and the judgement of a printing result is made easy. |
