PURPOSE:To efficiently cool a molten tube at a high speed without crushing said tube, by providing ring shaped cylinder to the upper part of a joint flat plate having an air orifice and providing a ring shaped cooling medium chamber and a ring shaped cylinder to the outer periphery of said perforated cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A molten tube 5 is extruded from a ring shaped die 1 and a cooling medium is blown off from the slip 3 formed of the air orifice 7a provided to a joint flat plate 7 and the lips 2a, 2c connected to a ring shaped cooling medium chamber 2. The cooling medium issued from the air orifice 7a cools the tube 5 and a a part of the cooling medium issued from the slit 3 passes through a ring shaped perforated cylinder 4 to be met with the medium from the air orifice 7a while the confluent stream rises through a space 6 and passes through the space 11 between the cylinder 4 and a ring shaped cylinder 8 to be met with the medium from the air orifice 7a to generate a turbulent stream and the tube is efficiently cooled. An adjusting ring 10 generates Venturi effect to abruptly expand the tube. |
