摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce a change in the extent of electrostatic charge of a carrier by coating the surface with silicone resin contg. titanium black so as to form a coating layer of silicone resin having superior wear resistance. CONSTITUTION:Core particles for a carrier are coated with silicone resin contg. titanium black of 5-700mmu average primary particle size by 0.5-40pts.wt., preferably 1-10pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. silicone resin. The silicone resin is straight silicone resin consisting of only siloxane bonds or silicone resin modified with a modifier such as alkyd, polyester, epoxy or urethane resin. the core particles are particles of a nonmetallic substance such as swand or glass, a metal such as Co, Fe, Cu or Al or an alloy such as brass, and the average particle size is 10-1,000mum, preferably 30-500mum. A composition for forming coating layers on the core particles is prepd. by adding fine titanium black particles in a silicone resin soln. and dispersing them by means of a proper mixer.
