PURPOSE:To make a specified information service produce a sound when plural information services are received, by putting a sound production control code in message information and designating the existence/nonexistence of sound making operations by comparing the code with a judging discriminating value. CONSTITUTION:A radio signal from an antenna 1 is amplified, detected, and demodulated at a radio section 2 and shaped into a digital signal at a waveform shaping circuit 3. A decoder 4 compares the signal from the circuit 3 with its own calling number previously written in a PROM5 and, when they coincide with each other, informs a CPU6 that a calling is made and sends a message signal following a selective calling number to the CPU6. When a function selecting switch 7 is switched to the normal mode, the CPU6 outputs a sound producing signal to a driver and drives a loudspeaker 10. Moreover, the CPU6 displays message information on a liquid crystal display section 8 and provides users with visual information. |
