PURPOSE:To generate a warning when abnormality occurs to the sensor, etc., of an automatic developer controller by providing a counter which counts copies and resets every time a developer is supplied and a warning means which performs warning operation when the counted value of the counter exceeds the maximum number of copies which can be taken. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic discharger, exposure lens, developing device 1, transfer device, etc., are arranged at the periphery of a photosensitive drum 9. A toner density detection sensor 3 and a toner supplementing device 2 are fitted to the developing device 1. A memory 5 which is backed up by a battery 6, the toner density detection sensor 3, toner supplementing device 2, warning display device 7, and the reset switch 8 of the counter are connected to a microcomputer 4. The toner density detection sensor 3 outputs 'H' when the density of the toner density in the developing device is larger than a reference value and outputs 'L' when the density decreases below the reference value. The reset switch 8 is a switch for resetting the microcomputer 4 manually; during the inspection by a person in charge of maintenance. |
