<p>The coating material consists of a reactive monomer and vinyl toluene or acrylic acid in which the unsaturated polymer is soluble, up to 0.5% by weight of cobalt naphthenate, and up to 0.5% paraffin emulsion. Pref. monomers are up to 20% vinyl toluene, methyl acrylate and/or mono styrene and up to 80% polyester together with cobalt naphthenate and paraffin emulsion. The coatings may be cured by UV or IR irradiation. Hard coatings with an open porous structure on wood and having good adhesion are obtained.</p> |
