PURPOSE:To support stably a blank pipe under rolling and to perform smooth rolling by the simple structure arranging a guide member between a pair of rolling rolls and the roller shoe being located in the rotating progress direction for the rolling zone of each rolling roll. CONSTITUTION:A guide plate 14 as a guide member is arranged between a pair of rolling roll 1 and the roller shoe 11 located in the rotating progress direction for the rolling zone of each rolling roll 1 for preventing the generation of a flare of a blank pipe. The position of the guide plate 14 is selected as follows. Namely at the rolling time of the center part of the blank pipe 5 there is no contact with the blank pipe 5 and at the rolling time of the tip part and rear end part of the blank pipe 5 the contact with the blank pipe 5 is enabled and it is made so as to prevent the blank pipe 5 to be flared with the plastic buckling. |
