PURPOSE:To employ an I/O register in a lower speed channel as diagnostic register in a high speed channel to diagnose concurrently both of the channel by connecting I/O interfaces of low speed channel and high speed channel by means of a cable. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 8 for a data processor is designed to control a low speed channel 4 and high speed channel 32a and an interface controller circuit 18 for the channel 32a is connected through interface drivers 21, 26 with an output signal line 22 and an input signal line 25. Output and input registers 9, 16 are respectively connected through interface drivers 10, 15 with an output signal line 11 and an input signal line 14. The input signal line 25 and the output signal line 11 from the channels 32a, 4 are connected through connectors 12, 24 with a cable 33. The output signal line 25 and the input signal line 14 are connected through connectors 13, 23 by means of a cable 34 and the registers 9, 16 are employed for diagnosing the channel 32a. |
